        • Take a tour of the Mark Twain Cave, which was made famous in Mark Twain's work, particularly 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,' as well as the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum.
        • An annual tradition in Hannibal, National Tom Sawyer Day draws visitors from all over the world who come to experience the history of Hannibal through the eyes of author Mark Twain. This renowned event features the National Fence Painting Contest; a frog-jumping contest; live entertainment; mud volleyball; and lots of other fun activities. Other attractions in the area include: Mark Twain Lake, the Hannibal Cavemen, Mark Twain Landing Waterpark and Historic Downtown Hannibal.
        Quincy hosts several events each year, including the Dogwood Parade and Festival, Quincy's spring event opener which is an annual tradition held the first weekend in May when the dogwood trees that line Maine street are in their glory. The Knights of Columbus BBQ event usually marks the end of the summer. The K of C BBQ features carnival music, music, great food and drinks for people of all ages. Other attractions include: Quincy Gems, Quincy University, Scottie's Fun Spot, Going Bonkers and the Quincy Community Theatre located inside the Oakley Lindsay Center.
