What Do We Love About Utica?

The food (Utica prides itself on unique foods created here) - we have great Italian food, specifically our two original dishes: Chicken Riggies and "Utica Greens"; also "Half Moon" cookies and "Tomato Pie."

The weather (good or bad, it defines the area) - we have a LONG winter and lots of outdoor activities like skiing and snowmobiling. In the summer months, people drive 45 minutes to be in the Adirondack Mountains; they go boating on the Fulton Chain of Lakes (First Lake, Second Lake, Third Lake, etc.) and they climb Bald Mountain.

The history and heritage (Erie Canal, Baseball Hall of Fame, Fort Stanwix) - once the most powerful region in New York outside of the city. Home to governors, senators and vice presidents and other high-ranking people and MWPAI (Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute).

We are also home to several colleges. Additionally, we are 45 minutes from Syracuse (a bigger city) - so our area is full of Syracuse University (SU) sports fans!
